1- Can I certify multiple events or locations?

Yes, you can certify multiple events or locations. However, each event or location must go through the certification process individually to ensure it meets all necessary requirements and standards

2- How long does the certification process take?

The entire process, from submitting your questionnaire to receiving your certification badge, typically takes 4-6 weeks, depending on scheduling and the tier you select.

3- What if my event or location doesn’t pass the certification review?

If your event or location does not meet certification requirements, we’ll provide a detailed report with recommendations to help you improve. You can reapply once updates have been made.

4- Who needs to complete the training?

Any public-facing staff, volunteers, or managers of the space should complete the guided modules (included). We’ll tell you which ones are required before certification.

5- What happens after certification?

You receive your badge, directory listing, and retain access to training. Certification is valid for 1 year from your certification date.

6- Can I start with Online and upgrade later?

Yes! You can upgrade to Live Virtual Certification anytime, just let us know, and we will send you an upgrade link to pay the difference and get started.

7- What is included in the Certification Fee?

For Tier 1, the fee includes a detailed questionnaire, submission of videos and photos for assessment, a customized report with sensory-friendly recommendations, a recorded Q&A video with written answers, and access to the certification badge for one year. For Tier 2, it includes a detailed questionnaire, a live virtual audit conducted by our expert, a customized report with sensory-friendly recommendations, a live Q&A session, and access to the certification badge for one year.

8- What does the Annual Renewal Fee cover?

The Annual Renewal Fee covers the renewal of your certification badge for another year. You’ll need to submit an attestation confirming no significant changes have been made to your event or location.

9- Are All-Access Training Memberships required?

Yes, team members involved in virtual sessions or implementing recommendations must purchase an All-Access Training Membership for $119 CAD per person per year. This ensures they are equipped with essential knowledge about sensory-friendly practices.

10- How does the virtual site review work?

For Tier 1, there is no live virtual review; you’ll submit videos and photos, which our expert will review to create a customized report. For Tier 2, you’ll book a live virtual walkthrough of your event or location with our founder and sensory expert, allowing for real-time assessment and feedback.

11- What happens during the Q&A session?

In Tier 1, after receiving your report, you can submit questions and receive a recorded video with written answers from our expert. In Tier 2, you’ll participate in a live Q&A session with our expert to clarify recommendations and gain insights on implementation

12- Can I use the certification badge for marketing?

Yes! Once certified, you can display the “Sensory Friendly Solutions Certified with the year” badge on your marketing materials, website, and event/location signage for one year.

13- What happens if I make changes to my event or location after certification?

Substantial changes require a reassessment to ensure your certification remains valid. Additional fees may apply.

14- Is this certification suitable for businesses of all sizes?

Absolutely! The program is tailored to your specific needs, whether you’re an individual, small business, or large organization.

15- How do I renew my certification?

You’ll receive a renewal notification before your certification expires. Simply submit the renewal fee and an attestation confirming your event or location remains unchanged.

16- What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards and online payment methods at checkout.

17- What platform is used for the virtual assessment?

The virtual assessment is conducted via Microsoft Teams. Please ensure you have access to this platform prior to your scheduled audit on a phone or tablet with good quality audio and video to be seen and heard.

18- Will the meeting be recorded?

Yes, the session will be recorded, and an AI scribe will be used to capture detailed notes. These materials will help provide a thorough and actionable report after the assessment.

19- Who is responsible for obtaining permission for the live virtual assessment and recording?

It is your responsibility as the event or location organizer to obtain any necessary permissions for the live virtual assessment and recording. This ensures compliance with privacy and organizational policies.

20- What should I prepare before the virtual walkthrough?

Before the assessment, ensure your event or location is ready to be virtually toured. Prepare any specific questions or concerns you’d like addressed during the session to make the most of the expert’s time.

21- What happens if I encounter technical issues?

In case of technical difficulties, please notify us immediately. We will work with you to reschedule or troubleshoot as necessary to complete the assessment effectively.

22- How will the findings of the assessment be shared?

Following the assessment, you will receive a detailed report, including recommendations and insights, along with access to the recorded session for reference.
