Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility at Sensory-Friendly Solutions
Our Corporate Social Responsibility document speaks to our responsibilities. For example, they include our physical, institutional, cultural and social environments. As a result, at Sensory-Friendly Solutions, we know that we are part of a bigger system. Further to that, the system included people, values, and meaningful occupations in daily life. However, it also includes other organizations. Lastly, it encompasses our natural environment.
Sensory Friendly Solutions is a social purpose organization with a mission to serve people with disabilities, in particular sensory sensitivity. We publically share four pillars that address our physical, institutional, cultural, and social commitments. Sensory Friendly Solutions recognizes that we are part of a more extensive system that supports people and their values. We want to be reciprocal. We give back to our community.
These commitments include:
- our legal obligations,
- observation of community values,
- the promotion of human rights,
- and doing what we can to protect our natural environment.
Our mission at its core is to help others live meaningful lives. For instance, we do this through direct and in-kind donations, open and transparent partnerships, encouraging volunteerism and being engaged in the needs of our community, and advancing the arts and culture, thereby supporting cultural and economic development.
We enhance inclusive and sustainable urbanization through conducting business with integrity, avoiding harm to the lives of local and indigenous peoples, supporting our local community, and collaborating with other for-profit and non-profit organizations.
Diversity and Labour
We foster universal social, economic, and political inclusion for people with disabilities. Furthermore, we promote the health and safety of our employees and community, respect the law, ensure our business operations are legitimate, honor our internal policies, and adhere to business ethics.
We recognize the need to protect the natural environment as keeping it clean and unpolluted benefits everyone. Aside from our legal obligations, we recycle, reduce travel, and adopt environmentally friendly technology and best practices.
Finally, we invest in research and development. We have partnered for projects with the Social Innovation Academy of the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia and partner on ongoing projects with the New Brunswick Community College.
What is more, we are committed to supporting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Our goal is to make finding vetted sensory-friendly experiences more accessible. We want to enhance inclusive and sustainable urbanization with indexed sensory-friendly data. Furthermore, we want to foster universal social, economic, and political inclusion for people with disabilities, especially hidden disabilities like sensory sensitivity, by promoting sensory-friendly practices.
In conclusion, we act to promote our identity as a socially aware and responsible business.
