About Sensory Friendly Solutions.

Headshot of Christel Seeberger, CEO of Sensory Friendly Solutions

Christel Seeberger, CEO Sensory Friendly Solutions

Sensory Friendly Solutions was founded in 2016 by Chief Executive Officer Christel Seeberger.  Our leadership team includes Charlie Bartlett and Nicole Kemp of The Flint as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officers respectively and Jonathan O’Donnell of Twelve-Bit as acting Chief Technology Office.

Christel worked as an occupational therapist for more than 25 years. She helped people with sensory sensitivity who experienced sensory overload in daily life.

People who have sensory sensitivity and experience sensory overload are often people with underlying, invisible conditions. Examples of those many conditions are:  anxiety, autism, concussion, dementia, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, learning disability, hearing loss, myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, neurological disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, sensory processing disorder, seizure disorders, trauma, vision loss, vestibular disorder and other disabilities.

Christel has sensory sensitivity herself; she has adult-onset hearing loss and wears hearing aids.  She founded Sensory Friendly Solutions for three reasons.  (1) to bring together the sensory friendly community around the world.  (2) to help people interested in sensory friendly living and (3) to help events, places, and products and services offer sensory friendly experiences.

More people are identifying themselves as having sensory sensitivity and experiencing sensory overload. The world we live in is becoming busier, nosier and brighter.

More events, location, products and service providers are emerging every day around the world to offer sensory friendly experiences.  Businesses and organizations are becoming sensory friendly to help the large and growing segment of our population who experience sensory overload.

Sensory Friendly Solutions shares sensory friendly information through the Sensory Friendly Finder. The sensory friendly community is made up of people around the world who are looking for comfort, enjoyment and acceptance where diversity is valued in daily life.
